This is to state that Stesalit Company installed Rotorvane Feeders "Microcontroller Based Gravimetric Weigh Feeder (MGWF-03)" that has been in use since 2013.
Our observations are as follows:

  • Uniform feeding to the rotorvane is possible in spite of irregular manual feed to the equipment, which results in better pre conditioning of withered leaf through rotor vane. One of the benefits achieved that the accumulation of cut leaf through Rotor vane is maintained up to desired level behind the spreader, helps to reduced fiber exposed and moisture loss.
  • It has also been noticed by uniform feeding into Rotor vane that our total Rolling and Drying time has been reduced by around 25% which results in good amount of savings in Fuel, Power & Man-days.
  • The ultimate utility of this machine results in producing a consistent end product which intend to fetch better Tea prices in the market thus improving the total turnover of the company.
    We therefore recommend them for any future automated installation.

Stesalit...... this name is not new for us. We are in touch since 2001 when we installed their first Computerized Automatic Withering System called TWMAC and was found very satisfactory and result oriented. However one unit was a trial but we converted all our troughs into this system in 2003/2004 (Total 28 Nos. Troughs)

Two Units of Humidity Management System (Manual Version) were also installed in 2003/2004 to control RH (Relative Humidity) in our CFMs. After installing this units we are able to manage the RH easily which is very important to get a good fermentation.

The next was the MGWF (Micro Processor Based Gravimetric Weigh Feeder) generally known as Rotorvane Feeder. Five unit of these machines were installed in our factory during 2006/ 2007. This machine is revolution regarding quality control of CTC tea as the feed is regulated according to the need which is a key control point as it is regulating CTC Cut, Fermentation and Drying.

In the year 2011/ 2012 we have installed two units of Sorting Feeder to get online errorless weight of dryer mouth tea. This machine has fulfil our need and we are very much satisfy with this machine.

We are using MGWF-03 ( Rotorvane feeder) and we have found that, this equipment is really helpful to feed the Rotorvane evenly and uniformly according to our desired feed requirement, which ensures even rate of feeding in Rotorvane resulting in quality enhancement and significant energy saving. After installing this equipment now feed control is in our hand and we can reset the feed rate at any time depend on leaf quality or cutting capability of our CTC machines. This is also help us to get the whole day working information like operation time, average feed rate with respect to set feed rate etc.
